Fall Season Details: starting Sept 22,  2026

Beaverlodge Soccer Commitee

We are volunteers who organize outdoor soccer practice and games for the children of Beaverlodge, Hythe, Wembley, Valhalla, and the surrounding areas. Children from ages 4 to 16 participate during the spring soccer season from the end of April to the end of June. In the Fall there will be a second soccer season for those who are interested.

Why Swan City FC?

To ensure Soccer stays here in Beaverlodge for this year and future years we have formed a partnership with the Swan City Football Club. This enables us to reduce the burden on volunteers and avoid the overhead of running a non-profit association, while keeping a local soccer program suported by the community.

Weather Policy:

We play unless it is Storming Heavily or there is Lightning. However, U5 director may decide whether or not that age group will play.

In the event of a decision to cancel a game due to weather, the decision will be made at 5:00 pm and notification will begin shortly after. Notice of cancellations will be posted on the Beaverlodge Soccer Facebook page. Team Coaches may notify the players on their team by phone.

News

  • We are partnering with the Beaverlodge Elks. They will help further Beaverlodge Soccer program and in return we will help with volunteers for their events. You can volunteer during registration.
  • Like last year Swan City FC is helping us out. They will provide training and lesson plans for coaches. Insurance and association fees will also be handled through Swan City FC.
  • The partnership with Swan City FC guarantees that all funds (registration, sponsorship, etc…) will only be used for the soccer program in Beaverlodge.
  • Our players will not be divided up into teams, each age group will practice together and split into teams for games.
  • We will be playing at the Beaverlodge Elementary school.
  • Sponsor’s names and logos will not be on team shirts. They will be featured on the Club shed and/or the soccer field.
  • Registration is online only.

Can I get help with my child’s registration fees?

Yes. KidSport is an organization whose mandate is to help make sports accessible to all children. If you are interested in applying for assistance you can contact KidSport Grande Prairie for more information at 780-605-0229 or 1-888-91-4KIDS, or www.kidsport.ca. We will have KidSport applications available at registration night

What EQUIPMENT do children need?

All children must wear shin guards underneath their soccer socks. Shin guards are required for insurance policy rules and for safety safety reasons. Players must wear appropriate lace-up Running shoes OR Soccer cleats. NO baseball caps. Additional weather appropriate clothing may be worn.

Don’t forget a water bottle!

Also recomended:

Sunscreen, bugspray, hat

What are Parent’s Responsibilities?

Please ensure that your child arrives to the soccer games ready to play on time with the appropriate equipment including water bottles. Please help the soccer club by volunteering when requested. Parent/Guardian attendance is mandatory at the U5 age level. We encourage all parents, at all age levels to stay and enjoy the games – the kids really love it when you are there!

Please note that not all fields have access to bathroom facilities.
